ASC New Admit Event

Our new admit event will held on April 27, the Sunday just prior to the 2nd Princeton Preview.  It will be at Whig Hall again this year and run from 12 - 2pm.  Light bites will be served, the Roaring 20 will perform, and we are lining up undergrad speakers to preach Orange to the newbies.  We should also have a speaker from admission.

While attendance from the interviewer ranks is not compulsory, it would be good to get a handful to attend - to mix, mingle and greet the folks they interviewed.  So, please spread the word.  Please RSVP to mickster7@aol.com.

2014 Special Olympics USA Games

PA3 members are invited to join the Princeton University group of volunteers at the event.

Note from Rick Ober '65:  "I have been appointed as the volunteer Family Services Lounge Manager at Princeton University for the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games being held in Mercer County June 16-20, including Aquatics (DeNunzio Pool) and Athletics (Weaver Track Stadium).  We will host the families of the participating athletes.  From past experiences, I found working with these Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities and their families to be incredibly rewarding. I would love to have you as a volunteer for a day or more to help me out.

Volunteering requires being available for at least one day full shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. I will be working a full shift every day.   If you are interested in helping out, please go soon to www.2014specialolympics.org, click on the Get Involved > Volunteer tabs and read the info.  Then click on Register to Volunteer on the right.  After entering your contact information [you will have to upload a head shot photo for your credentials] select Family Services and then go to Aquatics>Family Services Attendant or Athletics>Family Services Attendant.  This will sign you up for the Princeton University venue."

If you are interested in volunteering for the event in a different capacity, please visit  https://2014sogv.theregistrationsystem.com/en/1665 to sign up.  Select "general volunteer." Then, on the page where you enter your contact information, you’ll see a group drop-down menu - select Princeton University.  Choose the event and position that interests you and the orientation session you can attend (last item).

Please email Kristin (kcalyea@alumni.princeton.edu) with the position, event, and day that you signed up for so we can give thanks!

"Rush" Movie Screening

Sunday, March 9, 3PM
Followed by pizza or Chinese take-out dinner.
RSVP to John at jandkepstein@hotmail.com for address.

Two-time Academy Award®-winner Ron Howard delivers the exhilarating true story of a legendary rivalry that rocked the world. During the sexy and glamorous golden age of Formula 1 racing, two drivers emerged as the best: gifted English playboy James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth, The Avengers) and his methodical, brilliant Austrian opponent, Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl, Inglourious Basterds). As they mercilessly clash on and off the Grand Prix racetrack, the two drivers push themselves to the breaking point of physical and psychological endurance, where there's no shortcut to victory and no margin for error. Co-starring Olivia Wilde (TRON: Legacy), it's the heart-racing, epic, action-drama that critics are calling "one of the best movies of this, or any, year" (Pete Hammond, Movieline).
