Slate of NomineesDirectors (Term: July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017)Catrinel Haught *05Cathy is Assistant Professor of Psychology at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. She has been Chair of PA3's Graduate Alumni Committee and board member of the Association of Princeton Graduate Alumni (APGA).
Rick Ober '65 Rick, also Yale Law '68, has lived in the Princeton area since 1975. He chairs the PA3 Careers Committee, is a regular attendee at the PA3 First Monday lunches as well as those of the Princeton Varsity Club, and is the Class of 1965 Reunions Treasurer. He is currently General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Isles, Inc., an award-winning Trenton community development and environmental nonprofit founded by Princeton students and faculty 33 years ago.
Cheryl Rowe-Rendleman '81, S*82Cheryl is an avid volunteer, outdoor enthusiast, traveler, wife, mother and business woman. She formed Omar Consulting Group in 2005 to combine the best practices in clinical research with strategic medical communications to help promote medical research and develop drugs that prevent blindness. Cheryl has been a member of the PA3 and served as Chair of the Student Liaison Committee since 2008. In addition to promoting signature Student Liaison Committee programs to support careers, networking and mentoring among alumni and Princeton students; Cheryl has also served on the Alumni Executive Committee, been named Top Tiger for her work with Graduate Women, hosted the Women in STEM Focus Group, served on the Princeton Prize and Alumni Schools Committees, and volunteers as P'rade Marshall. Cheryl is active withe Class of 1981 as 35th reunion costume chair. She currently runs a project with the PA3 and Princetoniana Committee to gather the oral histories of Alumni in the Ivy League.
Jim Robertson ’91Jim is his class’s AG Participation Chair, Reunion Registration Chair, a member of the Princeton Schools Committee while Co-Chairing ASC 313P (West Bergen & Passaic), and a member of the Princetoniana Committee. He co-owns Pequod Communications with his college roommate. Jim is married to Candace Lee and has two children: Kiri (4) and Jimmy (2).
Tom Swift '76Tom is a retired technology executive, residing near Princeton in Neshanic Station, NJ. After graduating with a BSE in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, he received a MS in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. He joined a '76 classmate in Michigan and, while working as an engineer for Ford, received a MBA from the University of Michigan . After that, it was on to a twenty year career at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, at which he lead hardware, software, and services business. Subsequently, he was President of Raritan, a privately held manufacturer of data center equipment. Since leaving Raritan, he has been an angel investor, a mechanical systems designer, an avid photographer and traveler, and a chief driving instructor for the Porsche Club of America. He has a son and a daughter and is engaged to be married to Petra Geiselmann.
Tom didn’t become an active alum until recently, but is busy making up for lost time. He is a director of the Princeton Area Alumni Association, an ASC interviewer, a P-rade Marshall, a member of the Princetoniana Committee of the Alumni Association, for which he leads the committee’s oral history efforts, and is active in planning for 76's upcoming 40th reunion. At home he proudly displays a Nassau Hall bell clapper, nabbed by his father Tom Swift '29 in 1926.
Brian Zack '72
Brian started out as a child and is now old and gray. In between and after Princeton he became a pediatrician, got married, worked long and hard at McCosh Health Center, had three kids, retired, had three grandkids, and now spends his time teaching English for non-native speakers, auditing courses, traveling, eating a Mediterranean diet, and changing diapers (for his grandkids!).

Special Event: History, Football, and Howell Farm
Alumni are invited to a special event on
Saturday, June 7, at
Howell Farm in Lambertville. The exhibit will showcase Princeton Football, and more generally how Ivy League football shaped the early national culture of football as the new American pastime. The football team has loaned a number of amazing historical pieces for the exhibit, and the documentary "8: Ivy League Football and America" will be screened.
The exhibit is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A private reception for alumni and guests runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The reception is free and includes food and beverages. Children are welcome. RSVP to

First Friday Lunch - May 2nd, 2014 - Ian Hogue / Molecular Biology Dept
Join us for First Fridays, a monthly recurring event for undergraduate and graduate Princeton alumni, graduate students, and parents. On the first Friday of each month, area alumni and their guests will meet to enjoy a prix fixe luncheon at the Nassau Club in downtown Princeton. As a special bonus for PA3, a Princeton University PhD Candidate or Post Doc will present his/her work to the group in this informal setting. Topics vary monthly and are always interesting!On May 2nd, we will be joined by Ian B. Hogue, PhD, a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Molecular Biology Department. In his talk "Virus Transport and Spread", Ian will share with us how herpes viruses hijack cellular machinery to move inside and spread between infected cells. In fact, he plans to show us video of actual virus particles moving around. Check out Ian's impressive CV and don't miss this event.
Specially priced at $25/person (or $30 if you choose not to pay PA3's annual dues), lunch includes three courses, a complementary beverage (wine, beer, soft drink) and coffee/tea. Pre-registration is preferred.

Trail Clean Up at the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed

Join Jim Waltman '86 and PA3 for trail clean up for the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association. Jim is the Executive Director of the Watershed Association. The work will include trail maintenance on the Stony Brook trail on the Reserve that involves some boardwalk repair.
**They have asked for at least one volunteer with "chainsaw experience" to bring and use their chainsaw on some fallen trees.**

Princeton Prize in Race Relations
The Princeton Prize in Race Relations Central & Southern New Jersey Regional Committee Announces the 2014 Award Winners
A reception will be held at the Friends Center Convocation Room (Princeton University) on at 6 pm on May 14, 2014. Alumni are invited to help honor the winners.
WINNER: Amani Ahmed (Stuart Country Day School): Amani organized “Eleven Points”, a Muslim/Jewish youth interfaith group that performed community service projects for local charities in the Trenton area. All activities were built around shared values and religious understanding.
CERTIFICATE: Marguerite Tucker (Hun School): Marguerite, President of the Black Student Union, organized and hosted the Martin Luther King Diversity Weekend at the Hun School. Students from Hun, Lawrenceville, Peddie and the Hudson Schools attended the conference. She also participated in the “Stop the Violence” Program coordinated by Union Baptist Church in Trenton
CERTIFICATE: Skylar Tucker (Hun School): Skylar partnered with Marguerite Tucker to organize and host the 3 Day Martin Luther King Diversity Weekend.
CERTIFICATE: Andre Lopez (North Burlington County Regional HS): Andre, a volunteer tutor in the “Individual Conversation Program” at the Princeton’s Davis International Center for 3 years, assisted students and visiting scholars with their adjustment to multicultural life in America.
CERTIFICATE: Jasmine Baptist (Hillsborough HS): Jasmine, a member of the Hillsborough HS Diversity Council, identified and participated in an initiative to encourage students and staff to discuss the symbolism and emotional impact related to the confederate flag.
