Networking Reception for International Students

Career Services, PA3, and the Davis International Center cordially invite you to join the Networking Reception for International Students on Tuesday, December 11. The event will take place at Campus Club from 5:00-6:30 PM. The program will feature a brief talk about networking by a speaker from D.E. Shaw followed by networking time. This is a great opportunity for international students to learn about and practice networking skills, and your kind assistance in their learning process would be much appreciated. Light refreshments will be served. If you are available to join us, please RSVP to Satomi Yaji Chudasama at schudasa@princeton.edu or see the post on career services site here.

Nov 16 First Friday Lunch - RESCHEDULED

First Friday Lunch at the Nassau Club - November 16th, 2012 - RESCHEDULED

Join us for First Fridays, a monthly recurring event for undergraduate and graduate Princeton alumni, graduate students, and parents.  On the first Friday of each month, area alumni and their guests meet to enjoy a prix fixe luncheon buffet at the Nassau Club in downtown Princeton.  As a special bonus for PA3, a Princeton PhD candidate presents his/her work to the group in this informal setting.  Topics vary monthly and are always interesting!

This month, we will be joined by
Allan Doyle, a specialist in 19th century European art with a particular focus on French Romantic painting (1800-1850). Allan's dissertation is centered on Michelangelo's afterlife in French art during this period and includes many well-known (and some less-known) artists of the time (Delacroix, Gérôme, Ingres, etc.).

Specially priced at $25/person (or $30 if you choose not to pay PA3's annual dues), lunch includes the Nassau Club’s full buffet as well as a complementary beverage (wine, beer, soft drink). Pre-registration is required.

>> Looking forward to seeing you...in your orange and black! <<

This month, we will be joined by Ismaiel Yakub, a Lecturer in the Keller Center at the Engineering School.  Yakub received his MA and PhD in 2010 and 2012, respectively, in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.  He will talk with us about his work, including his latest activity: instructor for the "Sustainable Buildings Team" of the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS).  The team's objective is to apply a holistic approach to design and build a scalable, easily constructed, inexpensive, safe and sustainable modular housing system.  This year, Yakub's EPICS team will be focusing on improving the design of the BEE HOME, so called because of its honeycomb shape.

Specially priced at $25/person (or $30 if you choose not to pay PA3's annual dues), lunch includes the Nassau Club’s full buffet as well as a complementary beverage (wine, beer, soft drink). Pre-registration is required.
