Alumni Hosts Needed for Princeternships

This a great way to interact with and help current undergraduate students!

The Princeternship program is an opportunity for alumni to host current students at their workplace for a one- to three-day externship experience to give them a “day in the life” perspective of your career, industry, and/or organization. This might include student participation in meetings, shadowing, demonstrations, Q&A sessions, case studies, and/or tours. Visit http://bit.ly/bYzaK7 for more information about the program, how to register, upcoming deadlines, and to read student blogs. Three sessions available in 2013: January 7-11; January 28-February 1; March 18-22.

"Princeton: America's Campus" Lecture by Barksdale Maynard '86

W. Barksdale Maynard ’86 writes for the PAW and his fifth book is an excellent architectural history of Princeton's campus (and where the term "campus" was first applied to an educational institution).  His architectural campus tour at Reunions has developed quite a following and over 200 people attended this year.

He will be the inaugural lecturer at a series about New Jersey history, sponsored by the New Jersey Historical Society – and the lecture will be held at Drumthwacket, the Governor’s mansion and former home of a number of Princetonians but most notably Moses Taylor Pyne ‘1877.  A rare opportunity to visit this place many of us drive past.  And if we're lucky, maybe Chris Christie will stop by.
