Dear PA3 members,
It has been over a year since we held our last wine tasting event. Recalling the fun of that event, and undaunted by Covid-19, we are organizing a virtual wine tasting event for the evening of July 7. We have arranged with a local liquor store to make available for purchase at moderate cost a selection of four wines. Via Zoom, a sommelier will guide us as we enjoy these wines from the comfort of our homes. Complementary cheese courses are identified and optional. Details on how to purchase the wine, the recommended cheeses, and instructions for the call may be found below.
Hoping to share a glass with you, and with kind regards,
Tom

One of our members has arranged with Public, the liquor store on Witherspoon St., to do a wine tasting for us. Our certified sommelier for the evening will be Sebastian Koncurat who has 20 years of experience in the wine and culinary industries. The 4 wines offered for tasting are in the link below. For full description of wines offered, please email Mo for a PDF.
Public asks that we each buy our wine by 6:00 p.m., this coming Monday, June 29. The link is here.
Public offers free delivery to the following zip codes: 08502, 08504, 08525, 08528, 08534, 08536, 08540, 08542, 08553, and 08558. If you live outside these zip codes, you can still participate if you order online and pick up at the store.
Public does not sell cheese but can recommend some that would pair well with each of the wines:
1. Piave Vecchio - Veneto, Cow milk. Medium hard. Good pairing with the Breganze Pinot Grigio
2. Pecorino Romano - Sheep milk. Medium hard firm, slightly salty. Origin: Lazio, suggested to accompany the Prosecco.
3. Stella Fontinella, Cow Milk, sweet and spicy, hint of sharpness. Ideally for the Apassimento Pasqua red blend
4. Parmigiano, Cow milk, Emilia Romana, hard and firm. Suggested for the Valtellina Nebbiolo Sassela
Again, please email Mo with any questions: mochen1746@outlook.com.
