in Vino Diversitas! The global wine world has been homogenizing into a monotonous palette of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot. These are great grapes, but Vineyards everywhere have literally been uprooting their local grapes, with their funky, foxy, unique taste and millennia of history just to make a wine that is indistinguishable from a wine from halfway around the planet. |
 Wednesday's wine tasting will focus on rediscovering wine that doesn't all taste like it's all produced by Gallo. Wine that matches a broad spectrum of culinary delicacies. Wine that doesn't all taste like it comes out of the same box or barrel. Wine that is fun, and pushes the extremes along all five senses, as well as the sense of humor. |
